DJ Walas's biography

Walas is the pseudonym of Guillermo Cidade, the singer of Massacre since the late eighties. A resident of the northern area of Buenos Aires, Walas got the knack of skating on the streets and developed a deep expertise in all the varieties of rock. The band was initially called Massacre Palestina but had to do away with “Palestina” in order to avoid hurting political-religious susceptibilities. Their first album, “Sol Lucet Omnibus,” was released in 1992 and later followed by seven more albums, the latest one entitled “Mamut” (2008). A nearly twenty-year career has earned them recognition from critics and audiences alike.
